Sounds of LaGuardia is a sonic exploration of LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York by multimedia producer and sound artist Sandra Lopez-Monsalve. This project consists of three parts:

Voices of LGA: a curated collection of short interviews that will ask travelers every other week questions to reflect on what it means to travel.

LGA Sonomap: records of ambient noises around the airport that create a digital map that will allow listeners to experience the Sounds of LaGuardia.

Stories of LGA: radio-style stories about different aspects of LaGuardia, including its history and the mural in the Marine Air Terminal (Terminal A)

Until September 30, the artist will be working in her studio in the rotunda of the Marine Air Terminal (Terminal A), or around the Airport recording her pieces. To check the open studio schedule, please visit the website.
